Is your X-T10 camera and lens firmware up to date?

I have read before that the X-T10 does not need a firmware uprade as the top-of-the-line X-T1 as they were all incorporated in the first release. I checked the firmware page for the X-T10 and found out that there is a firmware version 1.10. When I did the presss DISP/BACK-POWER buttons, I was surprised that the firmware version was at 1.01. I trasferred all the photos in my SD card to a computer and formatted it using the camera setup menu 3/FORMAT.

Visit the official Fujifilm XT-10 firmware download site and save the 50+ Megabytes file to the SD card. Be sure to check the file size! Incomplete downloads will result in failure, which should be expected. The file name is FWUP0007.DAT and is a 50.6(actual 53.085156) Mbytes download. Put the sd card in the camera and perform the same DISP/BACK-POWER presses. Then follow the screen instructions. Am happy that the camera is now sporting the latest 1.10 firmware update.

But wait...that firmware is only for the camera body! My camera has the standard 18-55 mm kit lens. We will update this article real soon for the lens firmware update.

Ok, the lens kit firmware file is a 385(actual 394,448 Bytes) Kbytes download. It is saved as XFUP0004.DAT. Be sure that this is the only file in the SD card! Repeat the firmware update but this time select lens firmware update. I just checked that the lens firmware is already the latest: Version 3.12. So I have to forego the update.

Hope you have the latest firmware and we thank Fujifilm for providing the upates, always making you camera feel like new again and again.
